epilation
The term epilation, in its exact sense, refers to removal of the entire hair – that is, the shaft and the bulb. Epilation differs from shaving, which simply cuts the hair off at the surface of the epidermis. It also differs from depilatory creams, which destroy the hair structure chemically at the surface of the skin.
